При этом Si-ПЭГ обеспечивает сопоставимую с альгинатом эффективность инкапсуляции (72-77%) для различных штаммов, включая E. coli и R. qingshengii, и превосходит Ti-ПЭГ на 18-27%. Таким образом, гидрогель Si-ПЭГ сочетает в себе лучшие свойства альгината (высокую эффективность) и хитозана (механическую прочность), исключая их недостатки, что делает их идеальными для долговременных бактериальных систем.
